Ingredients:
2 tblsp butter or margarine
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
1 package ( 10 oz) frozen petite peas
1 package( 6 oz) frozen edible pod peas
3/4 cup regular-strength chicken broth
1/2 cup sliced conned water chestnuts
2 to 3 cup cold turkey or chicken cut in bite-sized pieces
1/3 cup sliced green onion
4 tsp cornstarch
1 tblsp soy sauce
1/4 cup roasted slivered almonds
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
1 package ( 10 oz) frozen petite peas
1 package( 6 oz) frozen edible pod peas
3/4 cup regular-strength chicken broth
1/2 cup sliced conned water chestnuts
2 to 3 cup cold turkey or chicken cut in bite-sized pieces
1/3 cup sliced green onion
4 tsp cornstarch
1 tblsp soy sauce
1/4 cup roasted slivered almonds
How to make almond turkey with peas:
- Melt the butter over medium heat in a large frying pan or work
- Add the mushrooms and sauté until golden
- Add the peas, pea pods and 1/2 cup of the broth
- Cover and cook stirring frequently until peas are thawed ( about 3 minutes).
- Add the water chestnuts, turkey and onions
- Cook stirring for 1 more minute.
- Combine the cornstarch, soy and remaining 1/4 cup broth.
- Stir into turkey mixture and cook, stirring until bubbly and thickened.
- Garnish with almonds.
