The Valentine's Day
is celebrated in the memory of Saint Valentine, the
Christian martyr who is better recognized as the patron saint of
lovers. Hence this day is also called Saint Valentine's Day.
Every year Valentine's Day falls on February 14th. This
day has great signifiicance for everyone all around the world as
on this auspicious day the lovers openly express their love for
each other. In a way the Valentine's Day could be called the
traditional day for telling and reminding your loved ones that
you love him/her.
Not only this day is known as the Valentine's Day but the
lovers also call each other their 'Valentine'. The heart-shaped
outline and figure of the winged Cupid makes the romantic symbol
of the Valentine. On this occasion the lovers exchange
Valentine's cards, love messages, gifts and roses and throw
parties.
